Springtime in the past has been known as Spring Break. This right of passage is no longer the main event of South Padre Island, TX. The city of South Padre Island has work hard to make it an all-inclusive time to visit the island. Watersports are reopened for the year, fishing, dolphin watching, horseback rides, ziplines, and sandcastle on the beach. This is a great time of the year to visit. The day are warm, with some morning starting off a little foggy. Days warn to the mid 80’s and nights cool down to the high 50’s (the weather can be a very changeable thing, but we do have our fair share of great day).

If you love to fish and want to bring your boat with you a bayside Condo may be what you are looking for many have private boat docks.  Mid-island hotels and condo give you the ease of being in walking distance (or a short ride on THE WAVE the island bus system) to every activate the island and Port Isabel have to offer. The Wave is free to all riders.  You may also want to look in to renting a golf cart for your stay on the island, they are in great supply at a wide range of prices.

 

Fall on South Padre Island, TX., is the slowest time of the year, making it a favorite time of year to visit. The weather is perfect for all activities. Day time temperatures in the mid to low 90’s nights cool down to the upper 70’s making long walks on the beach a favorite activity for island guests.  There are a few large events in the fall Sandcastle Day’s is an annual 5 day event held at Clayton’s Beach Bar  bring in Masters of Sand from around the nation. Live Music , amateur completion and a beach Trashion Show ( your will need to see this to believe it).  Walk for Woman an annual event to raise funds and awareness for Brest Cancer. The walk to fight Breast Cancer now includes a full week of events like Casino Night at Louie’s Backyard, a bay fishing tournament and the walk from the South Padre Island Convention Center to Louie’s Backyard. Get your team together of bring your family to remember a family member who has been thru Brest Cancer Treatment.
